Karen Halbert

Following a life-long dream, Karen Halbert has become a full-time oil painter, often painting “en plein air” in the fields of New Mexico. Driven by the light of the southwest, Karen made a life-style decision to move from NYC to Santa Fe, leaving behind careers as a Wall Street executive and Professor of Mathematics. She transforms the beauty of mathematics into her art, applying her knowledge of areas such as dynamic symmetry and chaos theory.
